League Rules

Format & Scoring
  • 9 holes, Stableford scoring system
  • Everyone plays their own ball — own score, not teams
  • One scorecard per pairing group
  • Play your ball as it lies
  • Discrepancies on damaged turf decided by playing partners
  • Balls out of bounds: drop and distance to keep pace
  • 3 minutes to find a lost ball — if not found, drop and stroke
  • Scoring is standard Stableford after handicap adjustment
  • Substitutes are encouraged but do not score

Pairings & Schedule
  • Schedule provided to ensure everyone plays with each other
  • Pairings have no bearing on personal score
  • Weeks 1–15: pairings are randomized
  • Week 16: grouped in order of current standings
  • Mandatory $5 closest-to-the-pin each week
  • The par 3 short hole is the closest-to-pin target every week
  • Birdie juice required unless not drinking 🍺

Handicap System
  • 5+ rounds posted: average of the low 4 of last 5 scores × 85%
  • Fewer than 5 rounds: drop lowest, apply same formula
  • Only 1 round posted: 70% of (score minus par) as a one-week handicap
Example (5+ rounds): Last 5 scores: 44, 43, 44, 49, 41. Drop the 49.
9 + 8 + 9 + 6 = 32 ÷ 4 = 8 × 0.85 = 6.8 → Handicap 7
IV
Season Totals & Champion
  • Top 12 scores from the first 15 weeks count toward totals
  • Each player's 2 lowest scores are dropped — allows 3 absences
  • 4th absence: player receives the league's low net score for that week
  • 3 low scores dropped after Week 15 heading into Week 16
  • Week 16 winner is crowned the Stallions GC Champion
  • Playoffs: August 10 (Week 17) & August 17 (Week 18)
